
Cupcake Spectacular 2008 is an event organized by Arfi Binsted at
HomeMadeS . Arfi herself want to organize this year cupcake party.
Cupcake, the beauty in a cup, is indeed the choice of bakers for any occassions. It is due to ease of making and also ease of decorating with any size and topping.
This is my first time to make a cupcake. I choose an easy recipe without egg and butter. So it is definitely suitable for someone who has allergic to egg, milk and peanut. I took this recipe from Martha Stewart website. Of course, this cupcake is not as tasty as the one made with egg and butter. It looks rather like brownies. However, I think this cupcake is delicious and chocolate rich taste.
I use Divvies Vanilla Frosting and put strawberry on top. At the end, this cupcake becomes one of my kid's favourite.

Divvies Chocolate Cupcake
Ingredients
Makes 1 dozen
- 1 1/2 cups cake flour (not self-rising)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups water
- Divvies Vanilla Frosting
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix together oil, vinegar, vanilla, and water until well combined. Add flour mixture to the mixer and mix until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as necessary. Batter should look and feel more watery than normal cake batters.
- Pour batter into prepared muffin tin, filling each cup 1/2 to 3/4 full. Transfer to oven and bake, rotating pan halfway through cooking, until a cake tester inserted into the center of one of the cupcakes comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
Immediately remove cupcakes from muffin tin and transfer to a wire rack. Let cool completely before frosting.

Divvies Vanilla Frosting
Ingredients
Makes enough for 1 dozen cupcakes
- 1 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup dairy-free margarine, chilled
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon rice milk
Directions
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar, margarine, salt, and vanilla, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as necessary.
- Add rice milk and continue mixing until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula, as necessary. With the mixer running, slowly add remaining 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, mix until well combined. Store in an airtight container, refrigerated, up to one week.

Biasanya saya perlu waktu beberapa hari untuk memperbaiki mood jelek saya. Setelah mood saya kembali membaik, mulai deh membuat setting untuk sesi foto lanjutan. Itu pun dengan properti, layout atau tempat yang berbeda dari foto sebelumnya. Sibukkk....belum lagi jika mood lagi baik tapi mesti jemur baju, nyapu rumah atau nyetrika....arrrrghhhh...pasti sesi foto ini akan tertunda sampe sore hari dimana bakalan susah mencari cahaya matahari.
5. Setelah sesi foto selesai, tidak berenti sampe disini. Saya mesti mengedit foto-foto itu.
6. Menguploadnya ke account flickr yang mana account tersebut tidak saya dapatkan gratis.
7. Membuat jurnal atau postingan di blog saya juga membutuhkan waktu yang tidak cepat. Karena mesti memikirkan jalan cerita yang akan saya usung.
8. Terakhir, ingat semuanya bukan hanya perlu tenaga dan waktu tapi juga ehmmm...uang yang tidak sedikit untuk investasi barang-barang keperluan memotret. Dari mulai lensa sampai propertynya.
Jadi, jangan dikira memotret itu gampang, dan seenaknya meng-copy paste pekerjaan orang lain, apalagi untuk keperluan Komersial.
Foto diatas adalah Bolu Kukus Gula Merah yang resepnya saya dapat dari blognya Vivi. Rasanya mirip kue mangkok mungkin karena cita rasa gula merahnya. Ini dia resepnya
Bolu Kukus Gula Merah

Bahan:
- Telur ayam 2 butir
- Gula pasir 100 gram
- Soda kue 1 sendok teh
- Baking powder 1/2 sendok teh
- Gula palem 400 gram, rebus dengan 400 ml air hingga gula larut, angkat dan saring
- Tepung terigu protein sedang 500 gram
- Minyak sayur/jagung 250 ml
Isi:
Nangka kupas 5 mata, potong dadu kecil (saya ga pakai)
Cara Membuat:
1. Kocok telur bersama gula pasir, soda kue dan baking powder hingga lembut dan mengembang.
2. Masukkan satu persatu, sirup gula merah, lalu tepung terigu dan minyak goreng, sambil diaduk hingga adonan tercampur rata.
3. Tuang sedikit adonan dalam cup kertas yang telah dialasi cetakan bolu kukus, lalu tambahkan nangka dan tuang kembali sisa adonan hingga agak penuh.
4. Kukus dalam kukusan yg telah bergolak airnya, kukus selama 25 – 30 menit hingga kue merekah dan matang, angkat. (selama pengkukusan, jangan dibuka-buka).
5. Sajikan.
Terakhir, jangan pernah meng-copy paste perkerjaan orang lain, baik foto, resep tanpa mencantumkan sumbernya dan jangan membeli buku-buku bajakan yang sekarang sedang beredar luas.
